About Vivi Dot
Vivi Dot at the heart and the start is for my Grandmothers, my maternal grandmother Vivi and my paternal grandmother Dot. My creativity, moxie and sense of humor are definitely inherited, so it was only appropriate to credit those responsible.
I let my sense of style and humor lead me in selecting and creating my prints, fabrics and images. One moment I may be inspired to make a pair of vintage, floral fabric earrings, and the next a Patrick Swayze button, circa 1983.
All of the accessories I make are fun, unusual and not meant to match every outfit. They are a 'dot' of unique color affordable enough to allow you to have every color of the rainbow represented in your accessories wardrobe. It's a great way to dress up a basic jacket or outfit - I've even heard them described as 'punk work' accessories. Everything is different and fun and acceptable for the office. Well, almost everything.
So who am I? I'm Molly Hooper (originally Gaines), also referred to as the dot girl, the button lady, Vividot, etc, etc.
